In my 29 year career in the Fire Service, I have helped so many aspiring Firefighters pursue their dream of becoming a FIREFIGHTER.  Whether it was Firefighter candidates coming by the Firehouse or others seeking my assistance in the process, I always sat down, with the crew, or one on one to help them any way I could.

 

I recently retired and wanted to continue my true passion of helping those who want to be Firefighters and understand what it takes to stay motivated and ultimately get hired, in what I think, is the “BEST JOB IN THE WORLD”!

  • 29 year career in the Fire Service, last 19 years as a line Captain

    • Developed the Departments Bloodborne Pathogens Policy
    • Started the City Of Newark’s CERT Program (Community Emergency Response Teams) and managed it for 10 years.

      • Entry Level Firefighters
      • Fire Marshal
      • Police Sergeant
      • Assistant Fire Chief
      • Fire Chief
    • Was graciously awarded FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR (chosen by my Newark Fire Department peers) 2 times (1997 and 2006) and again in 2010 by the Alameda County Fire Department for my work in the successful merger (as Union President) of The Newark Fire Department (Local 1483) and the Alameda County Fire Department (Local 55) in 2010.

PERSONAL BIO

A little more about who I am.  I recently retired after 29 years in the Fire Service.  I miss it a lot but I am staying connected by helping others get into the job.

I have been married for 26 years to my beautiful wife Patti and we have 2 awesome Daughters, Natalie (23) and Sabrina (21).

I grew up in San Lorenzo, Ca. and graduated from Arroyo High School.  After working as an Explorer and Volunteer at Fairview Fire Department and an EMT for Regional Ambulance, I was hired by the City Of Newark Fire Department.

I was able to purchase my first fixer upper home in Pleasanton, Ca. shortly after getting hired and after one move across town, I still reside here.

In my spare time I like doing home improvements, volunteering for the FIRST TEE Golf Program, going to Concerts, vacations with my family, and of course..GOLF.. a lot of it!

  • I am offering a complimentary 30 minute phone conversation so you and I can discuss your goals, figure out if you would like my services, and customize a program that works for YOU.
  • To Streamline the process, I ask that you send a copy of your current resume prior to our chat.  If you don’t have a resume, no problem, we will get you started on one.
  • I live In Pleasanton, California and can also meet with you if you are in the greater Bay Area.  If not, the phone will be fine.
  • If after our conversation, you think I can help you and you want to hire me as a Coach, here is my fee schedule:
    • First 30 minute phone Call = FREE
    • Additional meetings = $40/hour
    • Monthly Rate = introductory rate of $99/month which includes:
      • Unlimited Phone Conversations (Yes, Unlimited) you can call or text me when you need help)
      • Weekly Messages to keep you on track
      • Resume review
    • I accept Paypal, Venmo, or a personal check if neeeded

My goal is to help YOU!  I have been assisting people with the hiring process in the Fire Service for many years now.  It is my true passion and yes, my rates are lower than most,  because I understand that many of you are focused on this process and may not be able to afford the higher prices out there for similar services.  I want to take that worry away and offer my services at a more affordable rate with the ultimate goal of  YOU getting hired!
